Combining a Senior, Family (and Pet) Photo Session!

Weather in April can be tricky for photo sessions, but wow, what a beautiful night I had with the Habib family for their shoot! No shivers, no rain, no need for coats – it was awesome!
Suzy contacted me initially because they wanted family photos before their daughter went off to college. She also asked if I could incorporate a few senior pictures, and I, of course, said YES! In their virtual consultation, Suzy, Christine, and I designed a shoot in Downtown Lafayette and discussed wardrobe. Christine opted for two different outfits: a flowy floral dress and a pretty black top and jeans. Both worked great!
A nice surprise was that the Habibs also wanted their dog to be in the photos. I have two beautiful Golden Retrievers and am a dog lover myself, so I knew it would add to the images. Families love their fur babies!
Their dog Evan arrived with them for the shoot and was a perfect gentleman. I made sure to get family photos with him and some without. I also paired him with Christine for a cute shot. And FOR SURE he got his own moment to shine in front of the camera!
As for the humans, we took turns doing family photos and then individuals of Christine in several spots downtown. I made sure we had variety in terms of configurations, posing, and outfits as we went, and the Habib’s gallery was full of options. They ended up with a beautiful selection of images and prints.
Since I have kids in their teens and twenties, it always gives me joy to help parents capture some more memories before their children reach adulthood. It all goes by way too quickly! Thank you, Habibs, for trusting me with your family and senior session!
