Evan’s Senior Photos in Downtown Lafayette
I had such a busy first week of May with senior shoots and my nephew’s graduation, but I was so glad I could fit Evan in for his senior session. Evan’s busy baseball schedule made it almost impossible to schedule senior pictures, but when his mom Heather called, I knew we could make it happen!
The night of his shoot, we had a perfect May evening in Downtown Lafyette, and even though the downtown area was hopping, we found lots of cool spots up and down Main Street.
I met Evan and his mom first at a space I use on Main Street, and we went over his clothing choices. As we made decisions about what he was going to wear, I also thought ahead about the colors around downtown to pair up with his outfits. I wanted to make sure we got a lot of variety in our hour together.
Evan is super tall and has great style – even down to his shoes! His dad was my son’s high school soccer coach, so I watched Evan on the soccer field when he was younger and have kept an eye on his baseball career through high school.
He and his family are really kind and special people, and I was so happy to wander downtown with him and his mom. We laughed, we made Evan try to “smolder” (which gave us a great smile), and we found lots of great doors, walls, stairs, murals, and alleyways to pose in.
It’s not always easy to do senior photos as a guy, but Evan handled it like a champ and got some great images!
Evan, thanks so much for letting me capture a part of your senior year! You have worked so hard this year, and I wish you the very best as you go on to play baseball at Lipscomb University. You are going to do amazing things, and I can’t wait to see the next adventures you take. Your mom and dad are so proud, and they should be! Best of luck!
