Capturing Sponsor Smith IPM’s Visit

This month I had the privilege of photographing sponsor Smith IPM’s visit to Wolf Park. When owner Jeromy Smith contacted me, I knew it would be an exciting opportunity for me – wildlife and people! Not to mention a beautiful grey wolf and two red foxes! Jeromy and his company, Smith Integrated Pest Management, are a proud sponsor and service provider for Wolf Park, and they have been delivering integrated pest management solutions for the facility. He shared, “My mission is to protect the park, staff, and visitors with the same devotion and care that we all share for Wolf Park.”

Part of Jeromy’s sponsorship includes a visit with park ambassadors. So on November 13, he and his father and step-mother had a long-time dream come true: they got to spend time with Joker and Scarlette, two red foxes, and Sparrow, a female gray wolf. Park staff led each visit by introducing them to the animals, sharing about their habitat and species, and then answering questions. Their knowledge and care for the animals was evident, and as you can see, Sparrow’s fondness for Jeromy was pretty clear, too!

A treasure in our area for its important work, Wolf Park is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to behavioral research, education and conservation, with the objective of improving the public’s understanding of wolves and the value they provide to our environment. As you can probably see, this was a fun morning and a perfect fit for me – wildlife, conservation, and small business! Thanks, Jeromy, for trusting me with the job!
